2018 U.S. Department of State and espnW Global Sports Mentoring Program

U.S. Mission Uganda is accepting applications from dynamic sports women and female sports managers for the 2018 U.S. Department of State and espnW Global Sports Mentoring Program.

The U.S. Department of State and espnW Global Sports Mentoring Program (GSMP) advances the foreign policy goals of empowering women and ensuring a more stable society worldwide. Building on its past six successful years, the flagship partnership with ESPN and espnW continues to pair international emerging leaders with female senior executives at top U.S. organizations for a five week-long mentorship experience. The GSMP promotes public-private partnerships, creates linkages between American executives and sports leaders overseas, leverages digital platforms, mobilizes the ECA alumni community, and prioritizes themes of entrepreneurship and human rights.

Interested applicants should send in the following information by the April 1, 2018 deadline:
Current resume (CV) as attachment (including basic biographical information)
Scanned passport biodata page (as attachment);

Details about the sports work in which one is engaged, the sector of her organization (e.g. private, public, NGO), and her role within the organization;

Statement of Purpose: Information on what you hope to learn from the mentoring experience and what your action plan may be if selected;
Description of personal interests;
1 or 2 Letters of recommendation;

Deadline for applications is April 1, 2018
