July 13, 2016: Ambassador Malac appeared on NTV’s The BEAT music show to promote U.S. cultural exchange programs and talk about how music can bring different societies together. Ambassador Malac was joined by the American bluegrass band Henhouse Prowlers and Ugandan music performer Bobi Wine.

Speaking to Douglas Lwanga, the show’s host, Ambassador Malac who described the program as her “kind of show.” She said that, “Music is an international language. It speaks to all of us.”
In her closing remarks, Ambassador Malac encouraged the youth of Uganda to believe in themselves. She encouraged them to all work together, and with the U.S. Embassy, to build a better future.
