Ambassador Malac Encourages Youth to Pursue Agriculture

Ambassador Malac encourage young women and men to pursue agriculture

Ambassador Malac encouraged young women and men to pursue agriculture as a career at an agribusiness forum on July 15. In her remarks, Ambassador Malac highlighted recent advancements in the agriculture industry in Uganda, adding that a career in agribusiness could involve working with exciting new technologies or doing business with international clients.

The U.S. Embassy believes that with the right investments in technology, training, irrigation, and farm-to-market infrastructure, agriculture will power the Ugandan economy of the future.

The Uganda Muslim Women Civilization Initiative and FK Youth Mentoring Network organized this two-day program, which included a series of workshops with agribusiness experts and a visit to the Sulma Foods farm in Luwero District.
