The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Chauffeur (AMB).
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Assigned chauffeur duties to the Ambassador and must be safety and security conscious at all times.
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.
EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school is required.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of chauffeur experience is required. Armored vehicle certification is required for this position.
LANGUAGE: Level III (Good working knowledge) English ability is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have valid local driver’s license appropriate to types of vehicles operated and must possess a valid driver’s permit (Class B, CM & DL).
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be familiar with local traffic laws and area traffic patterns.
