University Partnership Program

The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking proposals for the U.S. Department of State’s University Partnership Initiative Program.  Ugandan Universities or university departments are encouraged to submit proposals in collaboration with partner U.S. universities in areas they want to develop and strengthen university linkages.  Proposals in all fields are welcome, including academic administration, study abroad, innovation, STEM, agriculture, humanities, promoting public-private partnerships, etc.  The proposal may build on an existing collaboration between a Ugandan university and U.S. institution. Proposals should indicate how the project will expand/create higher education partnerships between the United States and Uganda, how it will promote a better understanding of the U.S. higher education system, and how relationships among the institutions involved will be sustained.

Please send in your proposals to Kampalagrants@state.gov by  May 30, 2022 through our current Funding Opportunity:
