The U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, is proud to support opportunities for young Ugandan entrepreneurs, like the just-launched three-year program with Yunus Social Business Uganda. A total of 13 social business will participate in this first cohort of the Social Business Accelerator.
This initiative will support small and medium social businesses to generate sustainable jobs, income opportunities, and access to services for the Ugandan people. Under this partnership, 1,500 social entrepreneurs will receive training and mentoring. The most promising enterprises – with the potential to create more than 2,000 jobs – will receive investment funds up to $350,000.
