USAID/Uganda is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Project Management Specialist (Conflict).

The Project Management Specialist (Conflict Advisor) provides USAID/Uganda’s Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Office and the USAID/Uganda Mission expert technical guidance in conflict prevention and mitigation. This position is located in the DRG Office and reports directly to the DRG Office Director. The Project Management Specialist (Conflict Advisor) is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and evaluation of conflict prevention, mitigation and resolution activities.

The position manages assigned activities within the DRG portfolio that help achieve the Mission’s strategic objectives to promote inclusive and sustainable development in Uganda. The position plays a key role in liaising with relevant stakeholders including the U.S. Embassy in Uganda, senior Government of Uganda (GOU) officials, Ugandan civil society partners, UN and private agencies and other Donors in the area of conflict prevention and mitigation.
